Kellie Hines has lived a life woven with golf, ʻohana, and aloha. Born and raised on Kauaʻi, she’s a sixth-generation Hawaiian whose story began in the early 1970s at the historic Kauaʻi Surf Golf Course, where she worked alongside her father, Thomas Hines. What began as simple keiki duties around the course soon blossomed into a lifelong calling.

Her career carried her across the islands, from her first head professional position at Sheraton Makaha on Oʻahu to leadership roles at Ko Olina and Puakea Golf Course, where she oversaw its growth from 10 to 18 holes. She later returned to the iconic Kauaʻi Lagoons (now Timbers Resort) as Director of Golf Instruction, where she introduced the innovative Operation 36 program and led her community to the top spot in its global rankings.

Kellie’s entrepreneurial spirit also flourished beyond the fairways. She opened Happy Mangoes, a beloved Waimea health food store, and inspired others through group fitness and wellness instruction with Hoʻola Lāhui Hawaiʻi.

Today, Kellie channels her passion for the game and the spirit of adventure into Paradise Golf Adventures, curating unforgettable golf experiences that celebrate both culture and connection. In 2025, she led a group to the legendary links of Scotland, and in 2026, Portugal awaits.

Kellie makes her home in Kapaʻa, Kauaʻi, surrounded by her four adult children and seven cherished grandchildren. For her, golf isn’t just a game—it’s a journey of discovery, friendship, and aloha. She invites you to join her on the next adventure and experience the world through the lens of golf.

Kellie was awarded the Aloha Section PGA Jr Golf Leader in 1998 and 2001.  In 2023 Kellie was awarded the Aloha Section PGA President’s Plaque. Recognizing a PGA professional for extraordinary and exemplary contributions and achievement in the area of Player Development. Operation 36 Golf recognized Kellie in 2024 as a Master Coach.

In 2025 Kellie was inducted into the Kaua’i Golf Hall of Fame.

For Kellie, she shares that her biggest accomplishment is being the Head Girls Golf Coach for Kauai High School winning 2 state championships in 2001 at Ka’anapali (Rachel Kyono was the individual champion) and 2004 at Wailua Golf Course the girls home course.  Her daughter Jennie came in 2nd place in that tournament.  A proud momma and coach.
